Everyone Plays Pool In The APA....

Talk to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers. You'll find that they either play in the APA or know someone who does. It'll surprise you! Clerks, secretaries, janitors, lawyers, chiropractors, doctors, waitresses, truck drivers, bank tellers, and even school teachers ... all play pool in the APA Pool League. Over one fourth of APA members are female.

The APA is the World's Largest Amateur Pool League with more members than all other amateur leagues combined. Nationally, the APA currently boasts over 250,000 members (and growing). Think you're not good enough to play in the APA? Consider this: 75% of APA members are beginner to intermediate players, meaning you don't have to be a Pool Pro to play. And with the APA's Equalizer® Handicap System everyone has a nearly equal chance of winning.

2010 Reward Point Program

03/05/2009 2:49:08 PM

The Spring session will be starting the week of January 18, 2010.

Monday night Ladies 8-ball in Topeka
Monday night 9-ball in Topeka, Lawrence, & Lake Perry.
Monday night 8-ball in Ottawa.
Tuesday night 8-ball in Topeka, & Lawrence.
Wednesday night 8-ball in Topeka, & Lawrence.
Wednesday night 9-ball in Baldwin.
Thursday night 8-ball in Topeka, & Lake Perry
Saturday afternoon 8-ball in Topeka.

Starting immediately, if you are an active member of the Northeast Kansas APA league area, you already have reward points. Each reward point is a coupon with your player number on it.
At the end of the year we will hold a drawing of ten names of people who are active members of the Northeast Kansas APA. Each name drawn will win one of ten prizes to be awarded. If the name of an inactive person is drawn, we will redraw until we have an active member.
The Top Prize will be a 7' Oak Pool Table. Second place prize is Two Cues and a Case. Third Place is a Two Cues and Case. The other seven prizes will be Pool related items to be announced at a later date.
You can receive reward points throughout each of the three sessions, Spring, Summer, & Fall, all year long. You will have to be an active member on the Fall Team Roster in order to be considered as eligible to win one of the prizes.
Points work as follows:

Captains receive 5 points ( If you are interested in becoming a
captain, contact the League office.)
Co-Captains 2 points
Active player 1 point
Referring a player 5 points
Referred player 5 points
( To be an eligible referral, your name must be on the new players application.)
If you bring back a former APA member that has not played in over two years, you both receive 5 points.

Everyone registering on the web-site receives 1 point.

(If you play on more than one team, points are awarded per team.)

Other ways to receive points:

Re-registering your team during the last four weeks of the session will get each member of your team one reward point per week for the next session. In other words, if there are four weeks left, 4 points each, (maximum). Three weeks, 3 points each, etc.

Paying your next years membership at the end of the Fall Session, in the month of December, will get you 2 reward points for next years drawing.

Following are the winners of the 2009 Reward Point Program:

Juanita Parker: 7' pool table

James Osterhaus: 2 cues and a leather case

Derrick Hart: 2 cues and case

Frank Magistro: 2 cues and a case
